Abstract

Teaching translation doesn't aim at giving particular procedures or techniques on how to render such equivalent from one language into another, o to give a precise way on how to use such dictionaries or encyclopedias to select the adequate equivalent. However, teaching translation aim, primarily, at developing the students linguistic, creative, and translation skills. Therefore, the teacher must take into account that translation teaching process requires different skills as well as, it requires particular approaches to achieve the most significant objectives in both theoretical and practical parts of translation. Thus, the current study makes a simple attempt and analysis on how the teacher can give an effective methodology in teaching translation, and to what extent can the most important approaches of teaching translation applied in the departments and institutes of translation in Algeria be successful.
