The rereading of Al-Jahiz's perspective on translating poetry necessitated delving into his works, analyzing his style, and exploring literary translation theories to reveal his thoughts and ideas from those of others, and his convoluted style often makes it difficult for scholars to follow his ideas. due to the length of his sentences and the wandering of his thoughts. Therefore, it is difficult to see the connection between a book about animals and critical opinion on poetry translation.
However, the research objectives alleviated the difficulties as the translation of poetry is a precise art that requires a lot of research and practice.
Most scholars have agreed that he believed that translating poetry is impossible, yet our research aims to examine the validity of this claim and shed light on the difficulties of translating poetry Through examples from translations of ancient Arabic poetry, and its significance in cross-cultural exchange and dialogue between peoples.
