Scientific Term in the Western Historical Dictionary; The Oxford English Dictionary as a Model

This research aims to monitor the characteristics of the lexical structure adopted in the treatment of scientific terms within the Western historical dictionaries. Experimenting with the "Oxford English Dictionary", in order to benefit from his experiences, and to know his methods and methodologies in studying the development of the lexical unit, focusing on four levels: choosing terms, arranging them, defining them and tags related to them. In the beginning, we tried to study the concept of terminology, the concept of historical lexicon, and dealt with the idea of terminological development in historical dictionaries. Then, we touched on monitoring the foundations of the lexical industry adopted in dealing with scientific terms within the Oxford English Dictionary.
