This article aims to examine the key methodological foundations of "Constructive Structuralism" as one of the prominent sociological theories in the history of this intellectual field. It has been closely associated with the French sociological critic Lucien Goldmann in his critical studies of literary texts. The situational tendency emphasizes the use of the interpretive approach, while the interpretive direction insists on the method of understanding. Lucien Goldmann presents a third methodological perspective that seeks to reconcile the approaches of understanding and interpretation in the study of literary works.
