Abstract

Translations studies today emphasizes the importance of cultural awareness in translation. Cultural dimensions in translation are not only associated with linguistic rules and boundaries but also involve elements that go beyond language. These elements are based on implicit representations that give coherence to the expression and ensure its acceptance within the target culture.

This article will explore, from the perspective of considering as a communicative form between cultures and that the translator is the core of this communication in the relationship between translation, language, representations and culture.
