The aim of this article is to define the concepts of "Arabized" and "Intruder" in the context of translation. It seeks to clarify the ambiguity surrounding these two notions in order to better understand the nature of translation itself.
The term "Arabized" refers to words and expressions that are adapted into Arabic by providing their equivalents, while "Intruder" refers to foreign elements that are introduced into Arabic without any modification. Therefore, translation, in its true essence, involves either Arabization or the introduction of intrusions. This distinction must be taken into account in modern translation practices to make content more accessible and comprehensible across languages, literatures, and sciences. Today, more than ever, there is a pressing need to adopt a clear and accurate approach to translation—one that is based on a proper understanding of its principles.
