Abstract

The text of "Kalila & Dimna" is considered one of the most important texts that were quickly transferred between cultures through translation in Middle Age, as readers in the East and West came to read andtranslate it.

This article seeks to trace the process of translating the text of KalilawaDimna from Arabic into Hebrew, by shedding light on the mechanisms used when translating this text into Hebrew, by studying the translation of “Yaakov Ben Eliezer” who employed the mechanism of “domesticating translation” to Judaize Kalila and Dimna and bring it closer. From the Jewish recipient.
