Abstract

This study examines the geopolitical dimensions of the US-Iran conflict and its implications for global energy security, focusing on the Strait of Hormuz as a pivotal flashpoint, within a forward-looking analytical framework. It also explores Algeria's potential role as an alternative strategic energy hub by analyzing its territorial sovereignty and its capacity to provide stable gas supplies within the context of the reshaping of the global energy landscape.

The study concluded that strengthening Algeria's role as a stable energy supply hub would reduce the vulnerability of European energy markets to the volatility of conflict-prone waterways. It also recommended adapting existing pipeline infrastructure to accommodate the future energy mix, thereby solidifying Algeria's position as a key player in reshaping transboundary energy security balances.
