Abstract

writings of European travelers are considered important sources for the modern history of Libya. Among these travelers comes (Joseph Benjamin), a Jew from Moldova, who toured the Libyan lands in 1851 AD, to find out the conditions of the Jewish community in the country, and he recorded important observations about the conditions of this community.  Socially, economically and culturally.
