Sociology and the Question of Renewal in the Digital Age

The aim of this study is to stand on contemporary techno-social transformations, and the need for sociology to change its research tools and methods and work on renewing them. Today, the digital revolution has left its impact on all human activities and created a new social reality with characteristics and forms that differ from the previous reality, which is the virtual society. Therefore, this study tried to stand at the spirit of the era in which we live, with the aim of emphasizing that we are facing a new historical stage in the life of humanity, which is the digital stage, which requires a new cognitive framework that helps the researcher understand and interpret the phenomena of the network society.
